Peter is a Senior Programme Director with over 15 years' experience in the health and care sector delivering complex NHS and local government programmes. He specialises in organisational change, clinical service redesign and operating models that focus on improving patient and service users outcomes, performance, and sustainable cost improvements for NHS Trusts, ICBs and local councils  Peter is a former Chartered Physiotherapist.

 

Peter's approach is evidence based and collaborative and focuses on skills transfer to enable realistic long-term change for health and care organisations and systems.

  • NHS England Workforce:  Led on the National Genomics Workforce and Operating Model Transformation, working alongside the Chief Scientific Officer for NHS England, incorporating international workforce best practice (2024)

  • NHS Trust Merger: Led the patient business case and clinical reconfiguration for a successful £300m merger between two hospitals in the South of England (2022)

  • New Hospital Programme. Led on the clinical strategy and the infrastructure business case and a new £280m Women and Children’s Hospital in the South-West of England (2021)

Outside of Work
